Abai mangrove tour

This is a half day tour leaving in the morning. You will go on a leisure cruise downriver to a fishing village called Abai. The village is the closest settlement to the Kinabatangan river mouth. The only way to reach Abai is either by the sea or by the river. Explore the mangrove forest by slowly navigating through its tributaries covered with nipah palms along its banks. Abai is the only village in the settlement that still uses the leaves of the nipah palms for making their housing materials. That gives the village a rustic look. Lunch will be hosted at one the local villagers' residence.
